What is the Pelvic Floor?

The pelvic floor is a bowl-shaped group of muscles that are essential to core stability, supporting bladder, bowel, and sexual function. When these muscles become weak or dysfunctional, they can lead to issues such as bladder leakage, urgency, frequent nighttime trips to the bathroom, and bowel problems like constipation or incontinence.

Dysfunction in the pelvic floor can also contribute to pain in the genitals, abdomen, tailbone, and lower back. Yet, despite their crucial role, these muscles are often overlooked—sometimes due to embarrassment or simply a lack of awareness. It’s time to start the conversation and take charge of your pelvic health!

Pelvic Health
Education

In my 30 years as a pelvic floor physical therapist, I’ve had countless women and men ask why they had never heard the information I was sharing with them. Far too many suffer in silence from issues with their bladder, bowels, sexual function, and pelvic pain—often believing it’s just something they have to live with. But you don’t have to suffer! Most people simply need the right knowledge about their bodies and a willingness to make small but impactful changes.

Because accessibility and affordability are the foundation of my practice, I offer a variety of care options, including in-person and telehealth visits, as well as educational workshops and webinars. Explore the options below to find the best fit for your needs!

Welcome Men

Men Have Pelvic Floors Too!

Pelvic floor issues aren’t just a women’s concern—men can experience them too. Common problems include post-prostatectomy incontinence, erectile dysfunction, and pelvic pain, including groin and testicular discomfort. Many of these issues can be effectively treated with pelvic floor physical therapy.

With years of experience working with men, Erin has also contributed to innovative research and the development of treatment protocols for these life-changing conditions. Once the source of pain is correctly identified, improvement happens!

"I'm honestly shocked at the level of improvement I've experienced over the past month. The preceding year and a half was a painful nightmare, and I cannot tell you how grateful I am for this improvement. I might not believe it had I not experienced it"
